Today I walked past Actors' Pub & thought about how we first met.

Spent time after school helping Ioannes with this pre-valentines day present for Xinling. We headed down to Ikea, ate meatballs, bought candles, went down to PGP, spent forever arranging them across the road from Xinling's block and lighting them.
I think it turned out beautiful.

HAHA! So anyway, tennis this morning with Hanwei was fun! I was being a slight bum but I swear it was also due to the gastric pains I was having and it got so bad, I went to the doc. So yea, doc's instructions to eat proper regular meals, no spicy food, no dairy products and he almost gave me a jab for the pain. The whole family is onto my eating habits and I can't have chilli stuffs nor ice cream nor Frolick nor my favourite warm milk with honey in the morning! I'll survive, for this one week. Ohhh, plus we watched The Motorcycle Diaries, good stuffs! Biography of Che Guevara and his journey across South America with his friend, Alberto Granado.

Anyone psyched for Chinese New Year? Come on, hong paos, mahjong, steamboats, abalone, bak kwa, pineapple tarts, love letters & all the other yummy goodies. & I have this thing for mandarin oranges, haha, but I know, too much citric acid ain't good for the tummy too. Alright, time for me to finish watching the many youtube videos Hanwei makes me watch almost everytime I come online. He's a huge youtube junkie! Hmm, I have a sudden urge to watch Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. Damn! Hahaha. Spent the entire last Saturday watching that at Hanwei's. Hilarious series, Will Smith was great in that. 'Mind your own business, I say, mind your own business!', said with a tick in the neck. Okay, only people who watch it will know. Haha!

School has started for us NUS kids.
It's painful to acknowledge that 5 weeks of holidays went by in a flash like it always do. I'll be looking forward to the next long term holiday that starts in early may till august. Hahaha.

So there goes spending hours drawing infront of the television, waking up at noon and wasting half a day, crashing Hanwei's music lecture (even though it was only once), cataching up with old friends, endless shopping trips, not studying (duh!), laughing at primary, seconday, poly, jc, ntu kids when they started school earlier (I'm mean I know, but I like town when it's quieter. Hahaha!), just lazing at home, baking (only happened during the last week of hols and damnit damnit damnit. I forgot to take photos of the oatmeal with chocolate chips and peanut butter with chocolate chips cookies, blueberry muffins and chocolate fudge with oreo brownies I baked), having a picnic, reading books, playing board games, having a bbq, drinking, celebrating and having a blast.

And now, it's back to endless nights of mugging, fucking long train rides, early mornings but not as early as last semester cause I don't have 8am lectures, Fundamentals of Real Estate Finance, Urban Land Use and Development, Principles of Economics, Real Estate Management & Einstein's Universe & Quantum Weirdness. I have to mug much harder this semester, pull my CAP of 3.9 to at least a 4, blah blah blah, everyone is probably giving a motivational talk to themselves, I'm no different. I might not like this course as much as I wish I could, but I'll still do my best.

School today consisted of Einstein lecture (or should I call it Weirdness?)  that only lasted from 415 to about 515, just a short introduction and it's really intriguing and I guess it's gonna take up a hell load time cause I must start reading up alot soon! And thankfully, Hanwei has quite a few books I could really use for this course. Hyak hyak, it's awesome to have a boyfriend who is into this kinda thing and reads up alot.



Back to school, back to reality.

Tis the season to be jolly. This is how I spent my christmas, with my favourite cousins, Stephie and Sheryl. Hahaha. And there was this real real real fat boy who is just primary one but he's so damn cute.

Saturday I went out with Xiaowei, hung out with Ernest too for a while, Ernest you're awesome! Hahaha. Sunday was spent with Daryl at Starbucks with a Dark Cherry Mocha, Bedtime Stories with popcorn and TCC! My wayyy belated birthday treat. Yesterday, the programmes committee met up, had damn fattening KFC, discussed and headed down to SMU's Mr Tea and played Taboo the whole way! We finished the entire thing, all four colours, it was crazy. Today, Justin, Xinling, Ioannes, Jodie, Lina, Victor and I headed down to The Mind Cafe! Played quite a few fun games, made a hell load of noise and took retarded photos as usual. I love those guys I swear. Hahaha. After which, Justin, Xinling, Ioannes and I went to Parklane for a lousy dinner and Mad Jack and then we played pool and arcade which consisted only of Bishi Bashi (?)! Photos will be up when Xinling uploads them!


Justin asked us just now what's the big deal about the new year. Well, to me, I guess it's just like a brand new start and a brand new new year resolution, that's why people like to celebrate it. So yes, I have to come up with a new year resolution. Soon. New Year's Eve celebration tomorrow!

I miss good old band days.

My grandma is converting to be a christian, she says it's because all her kids and grandkids are christians and when she passes on, she wants to know where she's going. She's cute I swear, plus she got me a 300 plus watch from Hong Kong. Hahaha. But anyway, it's interesting why so many people believe in a religion that they choose, and one is that they need something to believe in and something that builds their faith so that they have a proper meaning to life which was proven in the case of my grandma. We all have different perspectives to religion, and talking to people like Hanwei and Justin, reading Sophie's World, really provoke thoughts and they made me confused at a point, got me a headache, and changed my view on religion. Ah well, to each our own.


Christmas eve was pretty different from others, movies and more movies, no red santa hats, gingerbread house or huge christmas tree. It really just didn't seem like Christmas to me. Oh well. Christmas Day was much better, good food and my favourite cousins were over, gossiping and laughing in my brother's room.
The only things that were really christmas-y was spending family time and probably, my santa earrings. Hahaha.
Holiday shopping has been pretty crazy, I think I have shopped far too much and taken retail therapy far too seriously. Haha, shockingly, I actually feel guilty for shopping so much.


And, I have finally decided to take up driving, thanks to my pressurising mom and relatives.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I got my plain black Yak Pak backpack & a Mango handbag today!!
Hanwei got me the backpack! We managed to squeeze the two movies in a day, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist was light-hearted fun & I loved the chemistry between them,  Twilight was interesting and has potential to be much better a movie, but it's not a great movie, at least it struck some interest in me to join in the hype and get the book to read soon. Hahaha, I cannot stand the little 13, 14 year olds going, "Ooohhhh, I love Edward Cullen, I love Edward Cullen!" in a real cutesy voice after the movie. Fuck off.

Fancy dinner with the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel was good, stuffed myself with alot of seafood. We didn't bring the proper camera, so we restorted to using my mom's 3.2 megapixels camera phone. Dinner and car talk was fun, my mom is hilarious! She refered to crumpler as scrumbler, we all burst out laughing.
& my parents were holding hands after dinner. It was a cute sight & I even said it out loud when my brother and I were walking behind them, my dad just turned and laughed.

30 years down the road, I want to be just like that.


BALI, HERE I COME! The family just went into a frenzy packing everything, we're such last minute packers.

Random Thought
You know, I've always wondered, what do people think about when they swim. During the past 2 weeks when I was swimming almost daily, I thought about many things, including my life, shopping, what to eat, what to wear later on, my holidays schedule. Do everyone think of other random things when they swim? Or do they just concentrate on the swimming? I've always wondered.

Oh well, I've been swimming, been shopping like mad, been reading, had the bbq at Justin's on friday, great great food, photos will be up when Xinling uploads them, and today, Hanwei & I finally had our first date in a long long time. We shopped quite a bit, ate a feast at Taka's basement and Hanwei does his nonsense as usual, talking to random people ALL THE TIME. Goodness, but shopping really does make me beam and flash my very clean teeth. Anyway, I'll be off to Bali on Tuesday! Sea sports, beautiful beaches, craft and I'm gonna partially braid my hair! WOOHOOOOOO! Oh and, my mom is gonna to partially braid her hair too, how interesting. Haha.

Tomorrow is movie marathon with Hanwei, Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist & Twilight, & fancy dinner with the family. I guess I'll blog again when I get back from Bali on friday.

Astons & Haagan Daaz, what a way to spend our 6th month. Bloody Haagan Daaz, a raspberry sorbet in a cone for me, belgium chocolate and macadamia nut ice cream with a waffle for him and it costed him 30 bucks. It costed as much as our filling lunch at Astons. Unbelievable. Hahaha. I look like a stupid bunny eating my sorbet anyway.

Inside the snow globe on my father's desk, there is a penguin wearing a red-and-white-striped scarf. When I was little my father would pull me into his lap and reach for the snow globe. He wouls turn it over, letting all the snow collect on the top, then quickly invert it. The two of us watched the snow fall gently around the penguin. WOOHOOOOOO PEOPLE!
Exams have finally ended, it’s about time. Studying was really driving me crazy, spent the last few weeks studying and studying and studying, it almost felt like the As. I was either at bugis starbucks, or school, or the occasional siglap starbucks. It was really insane. Peas, coffee frap, dark cherry mocha frap, carrot medley juice, popiah, subway and strawberry pockeys were lifesavers throughout that dark period. HAHAHA! Of course there’s Hanwei, thank you for your understanding and support. Haha, it’s finally over. Spent my week watching Madagascar, eating Jap food, shopping like mad on Wednesday, walked for 9 hours at Arab Street, Bugis Street, Peninsula Plaza, Wisma & Far East, Chinatown and Wheelock on Thursday, spent Friday resting my feet, and today was spent with Ernest & Jiawei, with Stephanie, Jorge and Bernard who came after. Thank you Jorge for the Ben&Jerrys tee! He’s interning at SPH I think, so he’s part of the press that gets freebies at the Ben&Jerrys Chunk Festival. Ernest, Jiawei and I attempted to go for it, walked all the way there, walked in, felt too humid and we left to the National Museum for air-condition and never went back. We're gonna be spending Christmas eve together as usual. It's been the tradition for three years or so I think.

Hanwei gave me a tube of happiness yesterday.

It's the tube of mini M&Ms. The happiness doesn't only come from eating the chocolate, but also the whiff of the smell of chocolate even after it's empty. This tube stores the smell really well and it gives me a high whenever I open the empty tube and inhale a strong chocolate-y scent.
